Atomic Habits: How Small Changes Create Big Results

Self-improvement doesn’t always come from dramatic changes. Often, it’s the tiny habits that create life-changing results. Imagine improving yourself just 1% every day — in a year, you’d be 37 times better. That’s the math of compounding habits.

Start with identity-based habits. Instead of saying “I want to run a marathon,” say “I am a runner.” Aligning habits with identity makes them stick.

Second, use habit stacking: attach a new habit to an existing one. Example: after brushing your teeth, meditate for 2 minutes.

Third, make habits attractive and easy. Keep workout shoes near your bed, place fruit on the table instead of chips. Environment shapes behavior more than willpower.

Finally, track progress. Apps like Habitica or a simple notebook can keep you accountable. Over time, these micro-changes create macro results.
